Since growing up in the spotlight and having her every move (and misstep) publicized by the likes of Perez Hilton, Lindsay Lohan has built a tabloid-free life in Dubai with husband Bader Shammas and their son, Luai. “It’s just far away from Hollywood,” she said of her family’s home during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark. “And I live a very normal life. There’s no worry of like, I can’t go eat at this place because someone’s going to take a picture of my son. It’s just, I feel very safe.”
Although the Freakier Friday star chooses to keep the details of her marriage private, she isn’t shy about showing love to Shammas on social media. “I am stunned that you are my husband,” she wrote on Instagram in July 2022, letting it slip that she and her man had tied the knot. “My life and my everything.”

Who is Lindsay Lohan’s husband?
Lohan is married to Bader Shammas, a Kuwait-born, Dubai-based businessman who remains a mystery despite being married to a movie star in the year 2025.
“He’s not a Hollywood type, you don’t see any pictures of them in the press,” Lohan’s father, Michael, told Page Six in 2021 (the couple has since walked red carpets together while keeping the media at arm’s length). “That was one of Lindsay’s problems — the paps encroaching on her and coming up with stories. It was tough. But she’s with a guy who doesn’t like the limelight.”
Still, her husband’s aversion to the limelight doesn’t keep Lohan from singing his praises to her 16 million followers on Instagram. “Happy Birthday to the love of my life,” she wrote on June 17. “You’re an incredible son, a devoted husband, and the most amazing father. Watching you with our family is the greatest gift. You make us feel safe, cherished, and loved. Every day by your side is a blessing and I’m so lucky to walk through life with you. I love you endlessly.”

What nationality is Bader Shammas?
Shammas was born in Kuwait on Aug. 13, 1987, to one of just a dozen Christian families in the country. Some reports claim that he’s of Turkish descent, but that hasn’t been confirmed by any reputable source.
After Lohan announced her engagement, Page Six reported that Shammas comes from a “prestigious” and “extremely private” family. “Lindsay wanted to be very careful about maintaining Bader’s family’s privacy and not upsetting them,” a friend told Page Six. So far, it seems she’s pulled that off.

Is Lindsay Lohan’s husband a billionaire?
Shammas is not a billionaire, but reports suggest he’s fully loaded (get it?). Still, those reports — some of which put his net worth at a staggering $100 million — have not been confirmed by any reputable sources. Let’s just say that, given Shammas’s line of work and the four-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot villa he shares with Lohan in Dubai, it’s safe to assume he’s doing pretty well for himself.
Where do Lindsay and Bader live?
The couple lives in a villa overlooking Kite Beach in Dubai. Explaining her home-decor vision in an interview with The National, Lohan said she asked her interior designer for a space that was “coastal calm.”
“I wanted a beautiful and relaxed home for me and my family, with a calming palette of neutrals punctuated with nautical blues,” she told the outlet.

Did Lindsay Lohan meet her husband in Dubai?
Yes, Lohan, who relocated to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2014, met Shammas in Dubai, where he was also living. Their fateful first encounter took place at a restaurant on a Monday night, where she was dining with friends and he was out with colleagues. “I said, ‘You look like someone I know,’” she recalled in an interview with Allure. “He was like, ‘No, I don’t, who?’” After talking for hours, Lohan said to him, “‘I feel like you’re the person I’m going to be with forever.’ I’d never been able to talk to someone like this.” Shammas proposed while she was shooting the Netflix movie Falling for Christmas in 2021.
“My love. My life. My family. My future,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing the news of her engagement.

When did Lindsay Lohan marry her husband?
The couple exchanged vows in an undisclosed location in April 2022, but Lohan didn’t reveal that she was married until July, when she casually referred to Shammas as her husband in an IG caption. Lohan has one son, Luai, born July 18, 2023. “I love you more than anything in this world,” she wrote on Instagram for his 1st birthday. “My son, my baby, my heart, my everything. I love you always, always, forever and ever and beyond!”

For now, Lohan and Shammas have chosen not to share their child’s face with the public. “It’s something my husband and I discuss all the time. Do we want to show our son? We will know when the time might be right, but it’s also a protection,” she told InStyle.
Meanwhile, she’s relieved that paparazzi photos are illegal in Dubai. “I don’t ever want my family to experience being chased by the paparazzi the way I was,” she said. “I have PTSD to the extreme from those things. The most invasive situations. Really scary. And I pray stuff like that never comes back. It’s not safe. It’s not fair.”
