Actress Alison Arngrim is best known to Gen Xers for her iconic portrayal of Little House on the Prairie villain Nellie Oleson, rising to fame as a child star in 1974. She played the role for seven seasons before going on to enjoy a long and successful career as an actor, author, and philanthropist.

Arngrim began playing Nellie Oleson at age 12, continuing well into her teen years. Despite the show regularly featuring handsome co-stars and guest stars—including future stars like Jason Bateman and Sean Penn (in an uncredited role)—Arngrim found herself drawn to more unexpected on-set figures.
In a recent interview with Telestar France, the 63-year-old actress revealed that it was the show’s crew members who caught her eye.
“I was a very strange girl. I had a crush on the crew. I liked the crew members,” Arngrim said. “I know we had so many handsome actors on the show—so many—but they were like my family.”
