Love Island USA fans are asking for Cierra Ortega to be kicked out of the villa.
Despite the islander receiving positive reactions from fans during recent episodes, many were disappointed to discover a racist Instagram story she allegedly posted before entering the Love Island villa.
In a screenshot of what seems to be her Instagram story posted to Reddit and TikTok, Ortega appears to be at doctor’s office getting cosmetic procedures. The post said: “Botox isn’t for everyone but I love it for me!!!”
“I am incredibly expressive with my face and I catch myself frowning for no reason throughout the day when I’m focusing on something or thinking too hard lol.” she continued.
However, what fans took issue with was written in the next line, where Ortega appears to use a derogatory term for a person of Asian descent.
“I can also be a little c—-y when I laugh/smile so I love getting a mini brow lift to open up my eyes and get that snatched look.” the post writes.
“This is not me encouraging but more so sharing.” Ortega ended the post.
Following the discovery of the post, many fans took to X to express their disappointment with Ortega and demand her removal from the villa.
“Why hasCierra not been dropped from the villa…she’s f—ing racist using slurs,” one user wrote on X.
“Cierra better be at the BOTTOM of that vote after her racist ass got exposed.” said another.
Some fans pointed out that it would be unfair to leave Ortega on the island as another contestant, Yulissa Escobar, was removed from the villa earlier in the season when racist podcast clips of hers surfaced.
“Something i don’t understand is that Yulissa got kicked off immediately for saying a slur and for some reason it’s fine for Cierra to say one?” commented one fan.
“Yulissa said a racial slur (the literal nword) and was kicked out of the show (as she should) bc of the rightful outrage how is this different to Cierra saying another racial slur she cannot claim.” wrote another.
Since the racist post came to light, Ortega has lost over 120,000 Instagram followers in 24 hours.
