Air today, gone tomorrow.
Magic: The Gathering’s 2025 roadmap concluded with Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the Universes Beyond crossover marked a big improvement over the Spider-Man set. In fact, it’s probably one of the better Universes Beyond sets we’ve had so far, with flavorful mechanics and awesome card art. (Although the less said about those Source Material variants, the better.)
If you’d been waiting patiently to pick up a booster box, then there’s good news for you. Amazon has dropped the price of the Avatar Play Booster Box to just $122.94, its lowest price yet. That’s a 41% discount from the list price of $209.70. That means each pack goes from $6.99 down to $4.10 — a pretty steep drop as far as packs go for a set that’s still in Magic’s Standard Rotation until 2028.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for the fact that I’ve already preordered a Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster box, I’d be keen to grab a box and look for a Badgermole Cub or two. As a reminder, you’re infinitely more likely to find alternative art treatments in Collector Boosters, but those are much (much) pricier. In fact, a box of those from the Avatar set is still sold out, and each pack would set you back close to $40.
Still, this Play booster deal goes hand-in-hand with several others at Amazon right now, including every 2026 Commander precon on sale across Lorwyn Eclipsed and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Oh, and speaking of Lorwyn, you can save on a Play Booster box of that set, too. It’s down to $119.95 from the list price of $164.70.
