Mandarin Oriental plans to open a new hotel in Seoul by 2030, marking its entry into the South Korean market.
Mandarin Oriental has announced plans to open a hotel in Seoul, South Korea, by 2030. This development marks the company’s entry into the South Korean market and will be located in the Central Business District, north of the Han River. The hotel will feature 128 rooms and suites.
The hotel will be situated near cultural landmarks, business addresses, and lifestyle destinations in Seoul. The interior design will be led by designer André Fu, focusing on a blend of elegance and elements reflective of the local destination.
The hotel will include multiple dining options. A restaurant on the 21st floor will offer panoramic city views, while the 20th floor will feature two culinary concepts: one specializing in international cuisine and the other in Chinese dishes. Additionally, a Korean Chef’s Counter will provide a unique dining experience. The ground floor will house a bar, a lounge, and The Mandarin Cake Shop.
Event and meeting facilities will include a grand ballroom, function rooms, and a private outdoor terrace. The spa will cover four floors, offering a swimming pool, fitness center, and outdoor terrace. Other amenities include a golf academy, multiball court, games room, and kids’ club.
The project is being developed in collaboration with Hanwha Group.
