Margot Robbie’s Latest Red Carpet Look Includes Actual Human Hair—And It’s Historic

5 February 20262 Mins Read

Margot Robbie continues to captivate on the red carpet for Wuthering Heights, her latest film inspired by Emily Brontë’s haunting 1847 Gothic romance, with looks that subtly channel the novel’s dark, romantic tone.

According to Page Six, arriving at the U.K. premiere, Robbie stunned in a Dilara Findikoglu sheer silk chiffon dress, complete with a structured bodice and intricate golden braids woven across the gown. However, it was the small accessory on Robbie’s wrist that had everyone talking.

Robbie wore a piece of literary history: a mourning bracelet, once owned by Charlotte Brontë, Emily’s sister, crafted from the hair of both Emily and Anne Brontë. Its intricate braids encircle an amethyst set in a gold clasp, with another stone delicately suspended below.

Sisters Emily and Anne died just six months apart—Emily in December 1848 and Anne in May 1849—and Charlotte had the mourning bracelet made, reportedly wearing it every day as a keepsake for her lost siblings.

Robbie has made a habit of turning heads with eye-catching, conversation-starting accessories while promoting her latest film. At the Los Angeles premiere of Emerald Fennell’s film, Robbie wore an $8.8 million heart-shaped necklace that once belonged to legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor.

According to Vogue, the necklace was gifted to Taylor by her then-husband, Richard Burton—but its history stretches all the way back to the Mughal Empire of the 1600s.

Attending the movie premiere in Paris, France, Robbie made heads turn with a Victorian-inspired 100-carat diamond choker necklace made by celebrity jeweler Lorriane Schwartz, per People.

Wuthering Heights hits theatres on Feb. 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
