Mariah Carey fans are going through all the emotions knowing the pop star abruptly canceled a show for health reasons.
On Wednesday, the 55-year-old “Queen of Christmas” was due to appear at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a performance as part of her ongoing Christmas Time concert series. But hours before the curtains were set to rise, she posted a message to X (formerly Twitter) apologizing to fans and explaining the show had been canceled at the last minute.

The “It’s a Wrap” songstress’ post stirred up a frenzy of reactions from fans online, many of whom shared well-wishes like “rest up and bounce back queen,” “feel better” and “your health comes first.”
“This was the ensemble for Pittsburgh tonight,” another X user wrote alongside a photo of themselves dressed up as a nutcracker and posing beside a Christmas tree and the pop star’s memorabilia. “So sad but hope you are doing okay,” they added.
A statement posted by the arena assured ticketholders that they would receive a refund forcamecanceled show. “Fans will receive an email with refund options. If you do not receive an email, please contact your point of purchase.”

The canceled concert comes after Carey shared a dramatically different video update on Instagram that had been filmed during her show in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Monday night.
“Last night on stage in Raleigh, North Carolina, I found out that ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ returned to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better time or place to celebrate the news than on stage with my amazing fans, my kids and my #Christmastime tour family,” she gushed alongside a video of her celebrating onstage. “I love you and am so grateful to you all ❤️❤️❤️ M.”

But so long as she’s feeling up to it, Carey has plenty of opportunities to embrace her fierce, festive self as she has a handful of more shows left on this tour. Next up is Newark, New Jersey, on Friday, Dec. 13, followed by two more stops in Belmont Park and Brooklyn, New York, on Dec. 15 and Dec. 17, respectively.
