Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HLT) recently announced that it has nominated Marissa Mayer, a veteran business leader and technology entrepreneur, for election to the board at the company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled for May. She also serves on the boards of AT&T, Walmart Inc., and Nextdoor Holdings, Inc.. She holds a bachelor’s degree in symbolic systems and a master’s degree in computer science from Stanford University.
McHale, who joined the Hilton board in 2013, has been a member of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee. She has chaired the Compensation Committee since 2018. McHale has been president and CEO of Cane Investments, LLC since August 2011 and served as undersecretary of state for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of State from May 2009 to July 2011. McHale has also served as president and CEO of Discovery Communications and is currently on the board of directors of Paramount.
