Arlo Hotels announced the appointment of Mark O’Brien as general manager of Arlo Williamsburg. O’Brien brings more than two decades of hospitality experience to the Brooklyn property, bringing extensive industry knowledge and a fresh, dynamic approach that aligns with the hotel brand’s reputation for experience-driven hospitality.

“Mark is a dynamic leader whose passion for hospitality and commitment to team development make him a crucial addition to the Arlo family,” said Jimmy Suh, president of Arlo Hotels. “We are confident that under his leadership, Arlo Williamsburg will thrive and continue to be a lively destination for visitors and locals alike.”

In his new position, O’Brien will serve as an ambassador for Arlo Williamsburg and oversee the hotel’s day-to-day operations, ensuring everything is carried out professionally and encouraging memorable guest experiences. As a proud New York resident with over 20 years of experience working for hotel brands such as The Maritime Hotel, Shinola Hotel in Detroit and most recently as managing director for the Ace Hotels in New York and Brooklyn, he brings both a local perspective and a national sensibility to the role.

“I’m honored to be joining Arlo Williamsburg and to have the opportunity to work with such a passionate team that’s focused on creating a sense of community through unparalleled service and commitment to authenticity,” said O’Brien. “I look forward to continuing Arlo Hotels’ tradition of experience-driven hospitality in the heart of Williamsburg.”
