Al Qimmah Hospitality and Marriott International have signed an agreement to develop five new hotels totaling more than 2,700 rooms across Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah.

Al Qimmah Hospitality, a subsidiary of BinDawood Investment, and Marriott International have signed an agreement to develop five new hotel projects in Saudi Arabia. The projects will add more than 2,700 rooms in Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah. The agreement includes properties under the JW Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, Element Hotels, and Four Points Flex by Sheraton brands.

The new developments include JW Marriott Jeddah, The Apartments, which will be located on the Jeddah Corniche Road. This property is planned to feature 356 studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, each with a separate living area and kitchen. The site will offer dining venues, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a children’s club, and an executive boardroom. JW Marriott Jeddah, The Apartments will be adjacent to the previously announced JW Marriott Hotel Jeddah.

In Makkah, the Four Points by Sheraton Shesha is planned to offer 1,030 rooms and will be situated near the Masjid Al Haram. In Madinah, the Four Points by Sheraton Madinah King Fahd Road is expected to provide 800 rooms near Masjid Al Nabawi. Both Four Points by Sheraton properties will include dining options, meeting facilities, and fitness centers.

Element Madinah Sultana Road is planned to offer 136 studios and apartments with in-room kitchens and spa-inspired bathrooms. Amenities at this property are expected to include a fitness center and dining options.

The agreement also includes the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Madinah Hijrah Road, which is set to introduce the brand to Saudi Arabia. This hotel will have 450 rooms and will be located in the Al Amariyah district of Madinah, with access to the Prophets Mosque.

Marriott International recently marked a milestone of 100 combined open and pipeline hotels in Saudi Arabia. The company currently operates 44 properties with over 11,000 rooms across 13 brands in the country.

No specific opening dates for the five new hotels were provided in the announcement. The agreement is intended to expand Marriott International’s presence in Saudi Arabia and support the country’s tourism sector.
