Marriott International has opened its 10,000th property worldwide, the JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa in India, as the company approaches its 100th anniversary. The resort features 127 accommodations, including private villas, guestrooms, and suites, and is located near Ranthambore National Park.
The opening was celebrated with associates and company leaders, including David Marriott, Chairman of the Board, Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC), and the resort’s owner Nilesh Gadhiya and the Gadhiya family.
The JW Marriott brand now has more than 130 properties globally. Marriott International’s luxury portfolio includes nearly 700 properties across 74 countries and territories.
Recent Marriott International openings include The St. Regis Budapest, the brand’s debut in Hungary, located within the Klotild Palace; The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort and Westin’s first all-inclusive property in Mexico, located along Banderas Bay; Artik Suzhou, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy, marking the brand’s debut in Greater China; and StudioRes by Marriott Greensboro Airport, which opened in May and was developed using modular construction.
Marriott International now operates 10,000 properties in 146 countries and territories as of June 11, 2026.
