Marriott International has launched its first StudioRes hotel in Fort Myers, Florida, marking the brand’s entry into the midscale extended stay market.

Marriott International, Inc. announced the opening of its first StudioRes hotel in Fort Myers, Florida. This marks the brand’s introduction to the midscale extended stay segment.

StudioRes Fort Myers features a design tailored to accommodate various travelers, including those on long-term work assignments and relocations. The property includes studio-style rooms equipped with kitchen facilities and flexible living spaces. The hotel offers 124 rooms, communal areas, outdoor patios, and fitness centers. Additional amenities include food and beverage vending, high-speed internet, streaming services, and casual workspaces.

The opening of StudioRes Fort Myers is part of Marriott’s strategic plan to expand into the midscale extended stay market. The company has projected the development of over 40 StudioRes properties across the U.S. and Canada by the end of 2027. The brand’s growth strategy includes a fast-to-market construction prototype, which Marriott anticipates will offer a cost-effective development option for hotel owners and developers.

StudioRes Fort Myers is a short drive from the Southwest Florida International Airport and close to local attractions such as Sanibel and Captiva Island, Manatee Park, Lakes Park, and the Caloosahatchee River.

The hotel’s opening represents a significant milestone for Marriott International as it diversifies its portfolio and meets travelers’ evolving needs in different market segments. The StudioRes brand is expected to complement Marriott’s existing offerings by providing an affordable lodging option for extended stay travelers.

Marriott International operates under the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, allowing guests to earn and redeem points across various hotel brands.
