A major character has been unveiled for One Piece season 2, finally confirming the previously cast Martial T. Batchamen as Brook, a pirate musician with a big future in the One Piece story.
Martial T. Batchamen was previously confirmed as a cast member of One Piece season 2 in September 2024. At the same time, we learned that Daniel Barnet would play Sapi and Dadzai Simango would play Mashikaku, but the roles of Richard Gau and Martial T. Batchamen were yet to be revealed. This led to plenty of speculation that Richard Gau Yorki, the captain of the Rumbar Pirates and Marital, would play Mr. 1, aka Bonez.
It has since been confirmed that Awdo Awdo has been cast as Daz Bonez, leading fans to puzzle over who Martial would be playing.
However, a recent development has confirmed that Martial T. Batchamen will be playing none other than Brook, the pirate musician. Manga and anime fans will know the importance of Brook to the future of the One Piece story, but for now, we’ll withhold any further information about the character outside of the fact that he is a member of the Rumbar Pirates and has a huge impact on the backstory of a certain marine mammal in One Piece season 2.
We even have our first look at Martial T. Batchaman as Brook, with a brand-new poster for the second season.
This is likely to add even more fuel to the fire that Richard Gau will be playing Captain Yorki, the captain of the Rumbar Pirates.
