McDonald's Debuts New Themed Meal and Limited-Edition Collectibles Inspired by McDonaldland 'Magic'

5 August 20252 Mins Read

McDonald’s is giving fans a blast from the past–and it looks so much cooler than anyone could have ever predicted.

On Monday, the fast food giant teased a super cool new menu item that appeared to be straight out of a fairytale–erm, McDonaldland–complete with all the members of the original crew (Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Birdie, Hamburglar, Mayor McCheese and the Fry Friends) backing it.

Now, 24 hours later, it’s offered up all the goods: introducing the new limited-edition Mt. McDonaldland Shake and accompanying themed meal said to take fans on a trip down memory lane.

The magical release treats fans to the highly-anticipated Mt. McDonaldland Shake, which is officially described as “an ode to one of its major landmarks” and was inspired by the “vibrant blue ‘lava’ and pink clouds of Mt. McDonaldland.” As for its flavor, the “secret concoction” is “as enchanting as the world itself,” so it’s up to customers to “discover the surprise flavor.”

The McDonaldland meal launches for a limited time beginning later this month.

Also included in the limited-time offer is your choice of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, fries, and, of course, the collectible to help fans “rediscover the McDonaldland Magic” and its 54-year history. Every McDonaldland Meal features one of six exclusive collectible tins jam-packed with postcards, stickers, and more, inspired by the different characters and the “epic world” that can now be explored online.

The McDonaldland Meal includes the customer’s meal choice, a Mt. McDonaldland Shake, fries, and one of six limited-edition collectibles inspired by an original McDonaldland character.

The McDonaldland Meal will officially launch at McDonald’s locations nationwide beginning Tuesday, Aug. 12, for a limited time.

The company is so serious about giving fans the trip of a lifetime, it even partnered with PacSun on a fresh line of sweat sets and graphic tees “as colorful as McDonaldland itself,” which officially launches Aug. 12. The iconic burger joint is also working with Away to give away complimentary luggage tags and bag charms with any purchase at Away retail locations from Aug. 18 onward, while supplies last.
