Mercure, a brand with a reputation for celebrating local experiences, has announced opening a new hotel – Mercure Garut City Center. This new addition is set to serve as a gateway to the culturally rich and scenically beautiful Garut.
Located on Jl. Guntur No. 2, Pakuwon, the hotel promises easy access to the city’s key business districts, government offices, banks, and shopping centers. Top attractions like Tropicana Waterpark and Wonderzone Playground are also within close reach, offering family-friendly entertainment.
The design of Mercure Garut City Center is heavily influenced by the cultural heritage and natural beauty of Garut, often referred to as the “Swiss of Java” due to its cool climate and mountainous surroundings. The hotel’s interior features natural tones and artistic accents, capturing the essence of the destination.
The hotel comprises 160 rooms and suites, each carefully designed to offer comfort and individuality. Guests have access to an array of facilities, including a swimming pool and a fully equipped gym. ANTARA restaurant, located within the hotel, offers a variety of local and international dishes, emphasizing the region’s culinary traditions. The hotel also provides four meeting spaces, including two ballrooms, suitable for hosting weddings, conferences, and other special events.
Garth Simmons, Chief Operating Officer of Accor’s Premium, Midscale, and Economy Division in Asia, characterized the opening of the Mercure Garut City Center as a key milestone for Accor in Indonesia. As the first Mercure hotel in Garut, this property not only expands the brand’s presence in West Java, but also contributes to the development of the local community. The opening of this hotel aligns with Mercure’s global growth, which has recently seen the brand reach 1,000 hotels worldwide.
