“Today we are announcing the cancellation of my July 5th concert at the O2 Arena in London,” the “When a Man Loves a Woman” crooner wrote via his Instagram Story on Friday. “You all know how much I was looking forward to this show but I am continuing to heal from surgery.”
Around this time last year, Bolton revealed he had been diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly before the 2023 holiday season.
The situation required him to undergo “immediate surgery,” which was a success, thanks to his “incredible medical team.”
“I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family,” he wrote in January 2024, sharing at the time that he would be taking a “temporary break” from touring.

“It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon,” he added at the time.
In his latest message posted this week, Bolton wrote to his fans, “Thank you for all your love and positive energy over this past year. I am so grateful to have the most supportive fans in the world.”

The now-canceled show was supposed to be a special “one night only” event, featuring Bolton’s greatest hits and special guest Bonnie Tyler.
“Your tickets will be automatically refunded,” Friday’s statement concluded.
