Michelle Williams Praises Her Surrogate After Quietly Welcoming Baby No. 4

19 August 20252 Mins Read

Fans have dying to know for certain if the Dying for Sex star now has a third baby with her husband, following months of speculation.

And the rumors were true: Michelle Williams welcomed baby No. 3 with Thomas Kail, as E! reported.

It’s the five-time Oscar nominee’s fourth baby in total — since Williams, 44, had a daughter with her late partner Heath Ledger.

On Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Williams confirmed the exciting news to guest host Tiffany Haddish. The celebrated performer shared that it’s a girl while singing praises for her surrogate.

“I’ve got to give a big shoutout to Christine because this last baby did not come through my body, but the miracle of our little girl is thanks to Christine,” Williams said on the late-night show.

Williams and Kail, 48, also share two other children: Hart, 5, and a baby born in 2022.

On Monday’s show, Williams also detailed to Haddish, 45, how she and her hubby are handling three young children at home.

“It’s good. It’s just really busy, and I’m trying to figure out the work-life balance,” said Williams. “I hear that a lot of people are talking about self-care, and I’m just wondering, ‘When?’ Because I’m the working mom and I already have the guilt, and I don’t want to take more time away from them. But I understand that I need to fill up the tank.”

The happy news comes at a busy time for Williams amid awards season, as she is up for a Primetime Emmy thanks to her stellar work on Dying for Sex. The hit miniseries premiered on Hulu as recently as April, marking Williams’ first project since Steven Spielberg‘s The Fabelmans in 2022.

Williams’ latest project follows her embattled lead character who leaves her husband to pursue raunchy sex after a terminal cancer diagnosis. Dying for Sex also stars Jenny Slate and Rob Delaney, and is nominated for nine Primetime Emmys in total.
