Mikaela Hoover becomes the 33rd new announced cast member of One Piece season 2 as the ever adorable Tony Tony Chopper, the next member of the Straw Hat crew!

Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper
Mikaela Hoover joins the iconic voices Brina Palencia (English dub) and Ikue Ōtani (Japanese dub) as the voice of the live-action One Piece Tony Tony Chopper. The actress is most well-known for starring in films such as Guardians of the Galaxy 3, The Suicide Squad, and Zero Hour. She will also star as Cat Grant in James Gunn’s reboot of the Superman franchise.
The news was announced at Netflix’s 2025 TUDUM event.

The cast of One Piece took to the stage at the event to reveal our first look at the live-action (CGI) Tony Tony Chopper.
Fans of the anime and manga should be overjoyed by the design of the CGI Chopper, whose design is beyond adorable and true to his animated and drawn counterparts.
One Piece Season 2 Netflix Release Date Update
Netflix also revealed that the second season of One Piece will be released in 2026, instead of 2025.
An exact release date has not been announced yet.
