Minor Hotels has entered into agreements with Rasa Group to manage two resorts in Thailand, marking the debut of the Colbert Collection brand in Asia and the addition of a new Avani property on Koh Phangan. The Colbert Collection Koh Samui, located on Chaweng Beach, will become the first property under the Colbert Collection brand in Asia. The 32-key beachfront resort, currently operating as Buri Rasa Village Samui, is scheduled to transition to Minor Hotels management on May 1, 2026. A rebranding to Colbert Collection Koh Samui is planned for the first quarter of 2027, following an extensive renovation.

The Colbert Collection Koh Samui will offer multiple dining options, a swimming pool, fitness center, and spa. The property is situated about 15 minutes from Samui International Airport and will join other Minor Hotels resorts on Koh Samui, including Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, Avani Chaweng Samui Hotel & Beach Club, Avani+ Samui Resort, and NH Collection Samui Peace Resort.

On Koh Phangan, Minor Hotels will manage Avani Koh Phangan, a 63-key beachfront resort on Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach. The property, currently operating as Buri Rasa Village Phangan, is scheduled to transition to Minor Hotels’ management on May 1, 2026, with a full rebrand to Avani planned for the first quarter of 2027 following a phased renovation.

Avani Koh Phangan will feature various room categories, including pool-access and oceanfront options, as well as dining venues, a beachfront swimming pool, an AvaniKids club, and an AvaniFit gym. The resort is located adjacent to Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas.

Both properties are owned by Rasa Group. The partnership between Minor Hotels and Rasa Group also includes Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas. The new signings expand the collaboration between the two companies.

The addition of Colbert Collection Koh Samui marks the brand’s introduction to Asia. This follows the recent announcement of The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London, Colbert Collection, set to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.
