Minor Hotels has announced the addition of the Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel to its portfolio. The hotel marks the company’s debut in Zimbabwe and the first presence of Anantara Hotels & Resorts in the country. It will complement the Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara, offering luxury accommodations on both sides of the Zambezi River.
The new hotel is part of Minor Hotels’ expansion strategy in Africa, becoming the seventh Anantara property in the region. The hotel will join the portfolio on 1st December 2024, followed by the opening of Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp in Zambia in mid-2025. Launching these properties represents a significant step in Minor Hotels’ goal of increasing its African presence.
The Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel is located in a scenic conservation area, just a 15-minute drive from Victoria Falls. The hotel features 16 all-suite rooms configured as double or twin, with the option of connecting suites for families. The hotel also includes a gourmet restaurant, a lounge and bar, a garden swimming pool, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
The hotel offers various activities for guests of all ages. These include boat trips to the Devil’s Pool at the edge of Victoria Falls, zip-lining across Batoka Gorge, helicopter flights over the falls, wildlife-spotting sunset cruises on the Zambezi, game drives, and a black rhino conservation experience. Complimentary transfers between the hotel, Victoria Falls Town, Victoria Falls International Airport, and Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport are also provided to make travel easy for guests.
Minor Hotels operates 27 hotels and resorts in nine African countries across four brands. Anantara Hotels & Resorts has a portfolio of over 50 properties worldwide, with plans for further development in new destinations such as Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
