Miranda Cosgrove Reveals New Movie Will Be a ‘Crazy, Fun Ride’

20 July 20252 Mins Read

Miranda Cosgrove, 32, is no stranger to the limelight.

The former Nickelodeon actress has over two decades of experience on the silver screen, from her breakout role as Summer in the 2003 cult classic School of Rock to crowd-favorite roles like annoying little sister Megan on Drake & Josh, the titular lead in iCarly, and her ongoing role as the voice of Margo in the popular animated franchise Despicable Me.

On September 12, Cosgrove will be adding a more romantic accolade to her already overflowing list of credits.

Cosgrave is slated to star in Netflix’s new star-studded romantic comedy The Wrong Paris as Dawn, a young woman who gets a bit more than she bargained for when she signs up for a dating show she thinks is in Paris, France only to arrive instead in Paris, Texas. Starring alongside Cosgrave are Frances Fisher, Pierson Fode, and Madison Pettis.

On Tuesday Cosgrave took to Instagram to show off a series of “first look” pictures of the steamy Southern romance, with a caption revealing that the fans could count on “a crazy, fun ride” of a movie.

In an exclusive interview with People, Cosgrave admitted to being a romantic comedy fan herself and said, “I hope people have fun seeing all the crazy and ridiculous physical comedy, as well as the more heartfelt moments.”

In the same interview she gushed about how much she enjoyed working with “all the girls”, especially Hannah Stocking, who she said “is one of my best friends.”

Fans flocked to the same Instagram post to express their excitement for the upcoming film. “I’m so looking forward to watch the movie! It’s going to be amazing,” one commenter wrote. Another user commented, “cant wait to watch miranda” while others replied with gifs of Cosgrave in her previous roles, particularly iCarly.

Cosgrave’s co-star Pierson Fodé, who plays the bachelor her character Dawn has signed on to woo, also weighed in on Cosgrave’s Instagram post, to the delight of fans, commenting, “You know this means we have to ride on to the red carpet on horseback.”

Cosgrave told People that when fans tune in to watch, she hopes they “can feel the joy we were all feeling while making this movie and that it just brings them happiness.”
