Miraval The Red Sea has opened on Shura Island, located on Saudi Arabia’s west coast and surrounded by mangrove forests. The adults-only resort features 180 guestrooms, suites, and villas, with architecture and interiors by Foster + Partners and Rockwell Group, using natural materials and desert tones.

The property is part of The Red Sea destination, a tourism development spanning more than 28,000 km² of coastline, islands, desert, and mountains, powered entirely by renewable energy. Shura Island is the center of this development, which includes resorts, marinas, lifestyle and leisure facilities, and an 18-hole championship golf course.

Miraval The Red Sea offers personalized wellbeing itineraries curated with Experience Planners, combining mindfulness, movement, cultural immersion, and outdoor adventure. Signature experiences include Arabic calligraphy, heritage storytelling, perfume blending, and guided desert stargazing. Outdoor activities such as kayaking through mangroves, paddleboarding along the coastline, and zip-lining are available. A contemplative labyrinth at the heart of the resort provides a setting for walking meditation and reflection.

The Life in Balance Spa is a 40,000-square-foot facility with 39 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, offering therapies overlooking lagoons, gardens, and desert landscapes. Treatments include hammam experiences, mineral-rich scrubs, and desert-inspired therapies, focusing on restoration, mindfulness, balance, and renewal.

Dining options include Rosemary, the signature restaurant with plant-forward cuisine centered on seasonal ingredients and regional flavors; Palm Court Café, offering all-day dining with lighter dishes, fresh juices, and wellness-focused options; and Coral Cove, which transitions from daytime coastal dining to an evening social venue with tapas-style plates and sharing dishes. The Life in Balance Culinary Kitchen hosts interactive culinary experiences, including Saudi coffee traditions, mindful cooking workshops, and non-alcoholic mixology.

Miraval The Red Sea is the first Miraval-branded property to open outside the United States and represents a milestone in the brand’s global expansion. The resort is part of the broader development of The Red Sea destination, which is planned to include multiple resorts and leisure facilities as Shura Island continues to evolve.
