Moment Family Cat Nuzzles Newborn Baby's Head With Love During First Meeting Is Everything

There are so many things that I love so much about being a mom, but a very big one for me is watching my daughter’s relationships with our pets as she grows. I’ve always been a huge animal lover, and before I had an actual human baby, my dog and two cats were very much my babies first. Introducing my newborn baby to them for the first time when we brought her home from the hospital is permanently sealed in my brain (and my heart) as a core memory.

I know there are so many parents out there who can absolutely relate, including the ones who shared the TikTok video below. This new mom let the world get a glimpse of what it was like when her cat and baby came face to face, and it’s everything.

Mom and fellow cat lady @ariellaspinas shared this heartwarming footage on Tuesday, November 19, and boy, is it an emotional moment. In the video, she wrote that she’s had this cat since she was 21 years old, so needless to say, she and her tuxedo cat, Toe, have a lot of history together… and now, her daughter gets to be part of their relationship too.

“I used to dream of the day Toe would meet my future kids. Seven years later… a pup, a husband, another kitten & here we are finally,” she wrote in her caption. 

As far as I can tell, this big moment must have lived up to all of her expectations, because this is 20 of the most adorable seconds I’ve seen all day (and maybe longer). Somehow, Toe inherently knows that he needs to be gentle around this baby, and carefully started rubbing his face all over little one’s head. Not all cats really “get” what a newborn baby is, but this one does and really rose to the occasion. What a sweetheart.

Commenters gushed over these cuties, and people really could not get enough. One person writing, “Toe immediately claimed that baby as family. Those two are going to be besties.” 

It seems like things are still going well for them, because one day later, Mama shared the sweetest video of herself cuddling her baby on the couch, with Toe on her lap and her pup snuggled up nearby, keeping an eye on everyone. 

I’m just hoping that this mom shares more of her baby and the kitty together as baby girl gets older. Something tells me these two could get into a lot of trouble together!
