Bondstone and Ennismore have signed a memorandum of understanding to open the Mondrian Arcaya hotel in Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal, by 2028.

Bondstone and Ennismore have announced plans to open the Mondrian Arcaya hotel in Vilamoura, Algarve, marking the first Mondrian hotel in Portugal. The project is scheduled for completion in 2028 and will be part of Arcaya, a new development by Bondstone.

The Mondrian Arcaya will feature 120 rooms, including 30 suites. The hotel will feature three restaurants and bars, offering a range of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant and lobby bar, a poolside bar, and a rooftop restaurant with stunning ocean views.

The hotel will also provide wellness facilities, a fitness center, and three pools. The development aims to integrate cultural elements from the Algarve region.

The Arcaya development, where the hotel will be located, is a mixed-use project in Vilamoura. It will combine residential, hospitality, leisure, and commercial components. The project emphasizes sustainable building practices and aims to create a walkable environment with native vegetation and public spaces.

Portugal’s tourism sector is experiencing growth, with forecasts predicting over 33 million international visitors by 2025. The Mondrian Arcaya hotel is expected to contribute to this growth by enhancing the Algarve’s appeal as a lifestyle destination.
