More snow has hit Ontario! These ski hills near Toronto are worth a trip

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to dust off your skis or board, this is it. Now, with another snowfall to hit the region, the conditions are just right. While today might not be the best day to hit the road, the snow is here to stay. That’s why we’ve put together a list of ski hills in and around Toronto that are less than two hours away. Whether you’re squeezing in a quick trip or planning a proper snow day on the hill, these nearby spots make it easy to enjoy winter without really overthinking it.

Blue Mountain

Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre

It’s a great spot for beginners, especially those looking for lessons.

The centre also offers advanced instruction and access to both beginner hills and full runs for the more experienced.

Now with this recent snowfall, conditions are perfect.

Horseshoe Resort

Last year, they added over 100 new snowmaking guns to the resort’s existing infrastructure, so we are ready to hit the slopes this year.

Where: 1101 Horseshoe Valley Rd. W. – Barrie, Ont.

Lakeridge Ski Resort

It has 22 runs for skiers and snowboarders spread across 70 acres. This resort offers a number of trails suitable for all levels, from beginners to experts.

Loch Lomond

Hit the slopes! Loch Lomond is one of the ultimate ski destinations and definitely one to visit after this snowfall.

Mount St. Louis Moonstone

Mount St. Louis Moonstone is home to six lifts, two magic carpets, 11 slopes, and more.

The mountain terrain will be open for all levels, from novice to advanced. Tickets are available for $65 plus tax.

Sir Sam’s Ski/Ride

It’s home to 12 groomed runs suitable for all ages and abilities, and offers breathtaking views from the hilltop. Get some warmth inside its cozy chalet — it’s worth the winter adventure.

Snow Valley Ski Resort

This snowy gem is located less than an hour from Toronto, 30 minutes from York Region and minutes from Barrie, Ont. Enjoy snow-based family activities including tubing, snowshoeing, and more.
