Mountain Valley Lodge in Hailey, Idaho, will temporarily close on February 16, 2026, to undergo a comprehensive renovation and conversion to Hampton by Hilton Hailey Sun Valley. The hotel is expected to reopen in the spring as a newly rebranded Hampton by Hilton, marking Hilton’s entry into the greater Wood River Valley region.
Elements Hospitality, based in Lynden, Washington, will serve as the general contractor for the project. Jensen Davenport Architects, headquartered in Woodinville, Washington, is the architect of record and will lead the design and execution of the renovation.
The renovation will include fully updated guestrooms, refreshed and expanded public spaces, and Hampton’s signature amenities, including complimentary hot breakfast, a modern fitness center, and communal areas for both leisure and business travelers.
Upon reopening, the property will be connected to Hilton’s global distribution platform and the Hilton Honors loyalty program, offering travelers access to Hailey, Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN), Sun Valley Resort, and downtown Ketchum.
Après Hotels is involved in the project, with representatives expressing their intention to continue serving the community and to partner with Hilton for the conversion. Additional updates will be provided as the renovation progresses and the anticipated spring reopening approaches.
