My Place Hotels of America, an upper-midscale extended-stay hotel brand and the largest affiliated company of The Rivett Organization, has rolled out a charitable redemption option that empowers Stay Rewarded® members to donate their loyalty points to support survivors of human trafficking.
“Hospitality is about more than providing a place to stay — it’s about caring for people,” said Stacey Bebo, VP of Guest Loyalty and Engagement. “We chose to launch this option in July in recognition of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on July 30. It gives our Stay Rewarded members the opportunity to turn their points into something that truly makes a difference bringing hope, healing, and support to survivors of human trafficking”
Stay Rewarded members can convert their points into contributions that directly benefit the AHLA Foundation’s No Room for Trafficking Survivor Fund, which provides grants to community-based organizations offering emergency assistance, safe housing and workforce development. The new redemption option strengthens guest engagement while reinforcing My Place Hotels’ commitment to making a positive difference in the communities where guests live, work, and travel.
“At My Place, we’ve made it a priority to be part of the solution — training our teams to recognize the signs and supporting survivors on their path forward,” said Sarah Dinger, EVP of franchise operations at My Place. “Our partnership with the AHLA Foundation amplifies that work, and giving guests the ability to contribute their points means the impact now extends beyond our walls. Together, we can help ensure hotels are places where everyone feels safe and welcome.”
“The hospitality industry has a critical role to play in helping to prevent human trafficking and supporting survivors, and we’ve made meaningful progress to meet that responsibility,” said Kevin Carey, president and CEO of the AHLA Foundation. “Through the No Room for Trafficking Survivor Fund, we are providing critical resources that help survivors rebuild their lives. My Place Hotels’ decision to give guests the opportunity to donate their loyalty points is a strong example of how our industry is coming together to deepen that commitment and drive lasting impact.”
