Naomi Watts is a proud mama, celebrating her oldest son, Sasha Schreiber, after he officially finished his first year at the University of Southern California. The 18-year-old, who’s the child of Watts and ex-husband Liev Schreiber, posted a carousel of photos on Instagram from his freshman year with the caption “Year one & done.” Shortly after, Watts copied the post to her Instagram stories. To the tune of Justin Timberlake‘s “Summer Love,” The Friend star wrote, “Congrats for finishing your first year Sasha!!”
Along with the cover photo, which shows him and Watts together, seven of the ten photos feature his dog, Nator. One photo shows his little sister, Hazel Bee, wearing an SCU T-Shirt, while there’s also a black-and-white picture of Sasha. The rest are of Nator chewing on his fingers, wearing pink booties, dressed up for Halloween, and Nator hanging out with Sasha’s friends.

While Sasha’s uncle, Ben Watts, commented with a “Congrats mate,” others were quick to point out Nator’s prominence in Sasha’s “college” photos.
“Think we know the real mvp,” wrote one person. “Shoutout nator,” commented another. College mate Claire Wilensky even tagged Audrey Yadegar with the comment, “Missing Nator. Yadegar jokingly responded, “Our child,” followed by a red heart emoji.
Sasha, who is also big brother to sister Kai Schreiber, 17, often attends awards shows and events with his famous parents. Most recently, he and his dad embarked on a seven-day cross-country road trip from New York City to Los Angeles. Sasha posted state signs indicating the pair drove through 12 states, stopping often to explore.
In 2025, Schrieber was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for The Perfect Couple. Watts was also nominated, but for Best Actress for Feud: Capote vs. The Swans. Sasha attended with his dad and his wife, Taylor Schreiber, and documented the evening on Instagram.
When Schreiber won, but Watts didn’t, Sasha posted the cheeky caption, “So proud of my pops for this great accomplishment! (and mom for trying),” along with photos from the evening.
