Naviva, a Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico, has been awarded the Responsible Hospitality Verification, becoming the first beachfront glamping resort in Mexico and the Americas to achieve this distinction. This verification is a leading sustainability standard in the luxury hospitality industry.
Forbes Travel Guide, a global authority on hospitality excellence, recognizes Responsible Hospitality as the official sustainability verification for its network of Star-Rated hotels in 90 countries. This verification process assesses hotels on best practices for environmental protection, employee welfare, guest satisfaction, and community support.
Hervé Houdré, an esteemed hotelier and a pioneer in Responsible Hospitality, played an instrumental role in designing this comprehensive verification process. This system allows discerning guests to make informed decisions based on global standards that are consistently applied and expertly designed.
Houdré notes that Responsible Hospitality aims to provide guests a luxurious experience while respecting the environment and human welfare. Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, has exemplified this by eliminating single-use plastics, reducing paper usage, sourcing local and seasonal menu offerings, and participating in charitable outreach.
Eduardo Sampere, Resort Manager of Naviva, expressed that earning the Responsible Hospitality Verification is a testament to the resort’s commitment to sustainability and its guests. He explained, “At Naviva, responsibility isn’t separate from luxury – it’s woven into the fabric of each experience, from the materials that shelter our guests to the local ingredients that nourish them, creating moments of connection that respect both place and people.”
Responsible Hospitality encompasses various aspects such as food and water waste, sustainable amenities, recycling programs, energy usage, health security, and integration with the local community and culture.
