All this week, Netflix has been revealing more for its 2026 slate from Europe and around the world. Yesterday, it was Netflix Poland’s turn, and today we’re getting a taste of what’s to come from Netflix Italy over the next year. Many of the announcements today are confirmations, with many having already been announced in advance.
In a press release alongside their slate of 17 upcoming movies and series, Tinny Andreatta, Vice President for Italian Content at Netflix Italy said in a statement, “I’m truly proud of the spectacular pool of talent who this year will give a face and a soul to our Italian stories, which are unique and authentic,” adding, “Each has had a distinctive and unique creative journey, and through our collaboration, we’re excited to be offering these celebrated performers the opportunity to give audiences challenging and previously unseen versions of their artistic identities. And this is an added value we’re really proud of.”
Here is the breakdown of the 17 titles announced, categorized by movies, series, and returning titles.
New Series
Motorvalley
Genre: Drama / Sports | Release Date: February 10, 2026

One title you should already be familiar with is Motorvalley, a high-stakes drama set in the world of the Italian Gran Turismo (GT) Championship. Luca Argentero (Doc – Nelle tue mani) stars as Arturo, a legendary driver who retired after a tragedy. He is hired by Elena (Giulia Michelini), the heir to a racing empire, to train a hot-headed young talent named Blu (Caterina Forza). It promises to be a story where racing isn’t just a passion, but a matter of life or death.
Physical 100 Italy (Physical Italia: Da 100 A 1)
Genre: Competition Series | Release Date: 2026
The global phenomenon arrives in Italy. In this unprecedented physical competition, 100 contestants—described as “modern gladiators”—will compete to prove they have the ultimate physique. The cast features notable names, including Olympic swimmer Federica Pellegrini, kickboxing icon Elisabetta Canalis, and “Lord of the Rings” gymnast Jury Chechi.
Nemesis (Nemesi)
Genre: Legal Thriller | Release Date: Coming Soon

A powerhouse cast leads this tense legal drama. Pierfrancesco Favino stars as Tommaso Gherardi, a wealthy Milanese entrepreneur accused of murdering his wife, played by pop star Elodie. Barbara Ronchi plays the determined lawyer Diana Potenza, who must uncover the complex truth behind the allegations.
Piero Messina is behind the direction of the new series with Alessandro Fabbri and Ludovica Rampoldi, and Stefano Sardo behind the scripts.
Not to be confused with Netflix’s other series called Nemesis, releasing this year!
Minerva Academy (Minerva – La Scuola)

La Scuola. Set in a strict military high school in Naples, this series explores a world where mobile phones are banned and days start with flag-raising ceremonies. The story follows Salvo (Ciro Minopoli), a boy from a foster home, alongside Vincenzo (Biagio Venditti) and the rebellious Camilla (Margherita Buoncristiani), as they navigate ambition, love, and strict discipline.
Ivan Silvestrini is working on the series direction with Ivano Fachin, Giovanni Galassi, Tommaso Matano, and Michela Straniero behind the scripts with Picomedia producing.
My 2 Cents (Due Spicci)

The beloved Italian cartoonist Zerocalcare returns with a new animated series. He writes, directs, and stars in this story about Zero and Cinghiale running a small bar. When a figure from Zero’s past returns, their fragile balance of financial woes and misunderstandings is thrown into chaos.
Chiaroscuro
Genre: Mystery / Crime | Release Date: Fall 2026
Pierpaolo Spollon and Andrea Lattanzi star as an unlikely investigative duo in this art-world mystery. When the director of Rome’s National Gallery is murdered and posed like a figure in an Artemisia Gentileschi painting, a sophisticated art expert (Spollon) and a working-class policeman (Lattanzi) must team up to solve the case.
The Good Boss (Il Capo Perfetto)

Based on the Spanish film El Buen Patrón, this series stars Luca Zingaretti (Montalbano) as Giulio Zagni, the “perfect boss” of a steering wheel factory. As his professional and family life spirals out of control, he must resort to tragicomic measures to keep his world from falling apart.
ITV Studios division Cattleya is behind the new series, with Roan Johnson and Niccolò Falsetti sharing directing duties.

The Big Fake (Il Falsario)

A remake of the Spanish box-office hit Campeones. Alessandro Gassmann plays Marco, a disgraced basketball coach forced to perform community service by coaching a team of neurodivergent players. Rhythm + Flow Italy (Season 3)

Netflix’s rap competition Rhythm + Flow Italy returns with a major shake-up on the judges’ panel. Guè joins returning judges Fabri Fibra, Geolier, and Rose Villain to search for the next Italian rap superstar, with a €100,000 prize on the line.

Suburramaxima

Picking up nine years after the previous chapter, Alberto (Giacomo Ferrara) is released from prison just as Rome enters lockdown. He reunites with Angelica and Cinaglia to face a ruthless new criminal clan vying for the “deal of the century”.
