It’s been a busy couple of weeks for animation news at Netflix! Thanks to a blockbuster slate at Annecy Film Festival, we got a ton of new intel for its upcoming slate of animated titles, but what’s still to come for the rest of 2025? Today, Netflix announced a bunch of new release dates, renewals, and confirmed what’s still to come in 2025.

Let’s break down the full slate of what’s to come with some new stills and release dates (where available) spread across various different categories:

  • The Twits – Fall 2025 TBD
    • Netflix’s first major animated movie in the world of Roald Dahl, a collection of books it owns, with Phil Johnston directing. The logline reads, “Mr. and Mrs. Twit are the meanest, smelliest, nastiest people in the world who also happen to own and operate the most disgusting, most dangerous, most idiotic amusement park in the world, Twitlandia. But when the Twits rise to power in their town, two brave orphans and a family of magical animals are forced to become as tricky as the Twits in order to save the city. A hysterically funny, wild ride of a film (chock-full of the Twits’ beloved tricks–from the Wormy Spaghetti to the Dreaded Shrinks), The Twits is also a story for our times, about the never-ending battle between cruelty and empathy.”

Don’t forget that those in the United States will also be streaming Dog Man from DreamWorks Pictures beginning in September 2025.
