With 2026 only a few short months away, it’s time to look ahead to the new year and explore all of the new and returning anime coming to Netflix in 2026! 

Please note that this list is not definitive and can make various assumptions about release dates. This is a work-in-progress preview and will be constantly updated over time to reflect new titles.

Pokémon Horizons: Season 3—Rising Hope

Coming to Netflix: January 6, 2025

Netflix continues to be the home of Pokémon, as the third season of Pokémon Horizons will kick off a brand-new year of anime on the platform.

The third season takes place a year after the events of season 2, as Liko and Roy re-establish a now leaderless Rising Volt Tacklers. Joining them on their journey are Roy’s new yellow Lucario, Dot, an expert intel gatherer, and Ult, who declares himself Roy’s rival.

Love Through a Prism

Coming to Netflix: January 15, 2026

Lili Ichijoin is a Japanese exchange student who has travelled to England, where she has enrolled at Saint Thomas Art Academy, a highly prestigious school. However, her parents have set her a tough goal: reach the top of her class, or she must return to Japan. Her desire to reach the top intensifies after she meets Kit Church, an aristocratic student whose reputation as a painter precedes him, though emotionally detached. However, when Lili enters his life, her sincerity and resilience begin to change him.

Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (Season 1)

Coming to Netflix: January 22, 2026

A brand new movie with a modern take on the beloved Japanese folktale, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, is coming to Netflix soon! The film will feature the voice acting talent of Saori Hayami, Anna Nagase, and Yuuko Natsuyoshi.

Baki-Dou (Season 1) N

Coming to Netflix: February 26, 2026*

Baki has been one of the most popular anime franchises on Netflix. Fans all over the world have fallen in love with the absurd and over-the-top martial arts exploits of Baki. The series return continues the adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki’s beloved manga.

Following his legendary father-son battle against Yujiro Hanma, Baki faces a new threat: the resurrection of Japan’s greatest swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi. As warriors like Doppo Orochi, Jack Hanma, and Kaoru Hanayama return to the fight, the stage is set for an unprecedented clash—the strongest underground fighter vs. the legendary samurai, in a cross-era showdown.

One Piece: Elbaf Island Arc

Coming to Netflix: April 2026

Once the Egghead Island Arc wraps up, the One Piece anime will move on to the Elbaph Island Arc! Since Elbaph was first mentioned over two decades ago, fans have waited an entire generation, and then some, to see the home of the Giant Warrior Pirates. It’s unclear if a long break is in store for the anime once Egghead wraps, but at the very least, we expect to see more weekly episodes of One Piece on Netflix throughout 2026.

Devil May Cry (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: May 12, 2026

The first season of Devil May Cry was a big hit on Netflix, and so soon after being renewed, fans will be incredibly excited to watch Dante and Virgil’s showdown in season 2.

Dorohedoro (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Spring 2026

Spring 2026 will mark the end of a six-year wait for the second season of Dorohedoro!

Hole, is a district where the strong prey on the weak, and death is common in everyday life. The district has become the testing ground and cesspool for magic, where the residents are experimented on. Disgusted by the way the people of Hole are treated, Kaimon, a reptilian man, leads a personal hunt against those in power as he searches for answers.

BEASTARS (Final Season – Volume 2) N

After the initial disappointment that the final part had been delayed from 2025 to 2026, fans are now just eager to witness how Legoshi’s story comes to an end! Expect a super dramatic showdown between Legoshi and Melon!

Following the confrontation with Riz, Legoshi decides to leave school and begins living alone in Beast Apartments. Meanwhile, Louis, who has left the Young BEASTARS and graduated from the academy, decides to finally face his father, Ogma. Haru, who is enjoying her campus life, deals with an endless series of troubles. Around this time, current BEASTAR Yahya pursues Melon, a violent criminal who seeks pleasure in murdering beasts. The fates of Legoshi and Melon, which never should have crossed paths, are intertwined by a secret held closely by Legoshi’s family.”

Blue Box (Season 2) N

Coming to Netflix: 2026

Telecom Animation Film did a wonderful job with the first season of Blue Box, and naturally, fans are already super excited for the release of the second season. It’s unclear whether the anime is set to return in 2026, but we’re hopeful that it will be released in the second half of 2026.

Taiki Inomata, a freshman of Eimei Senior High, is a member of the high school badminton team, is in love with Chinatsu Kano, a second-year and the ace of the girls’ basketball team.

Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (Season 1) N

Coming to Netflix: 2026

Netflix has been the home of the brand-new episodes of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure since Stone Ocean first landed in December 2021. Fans of the anime can look forward to the 7th major arc of the story, Steel Ball Run, in 2026. 

Set in the 19th century, it follows the first-ever cross-continental horse race across North America. The protagonist, Johnny Joestar, is a former genius jockey who became a paraplegic. He forms an alliance with Gyro Zeppeli, a mysterious outlaw, and the two embark on a grueling race across the continent together.”

The One Piece (Season 1) N

Coming to Netflix: 2026

TOEI Animation has been responsible for producing the One Piece anime since the 90s, but the remake of the East Blue Arc is in the hands of WIT Studio. The story will significantly reduce the runtime of Toe’s adaptation, offering fans and newcomers more engaging pacing.

Monkey D. Luffy, a rookie pirate, has grand dreams of becoming the Pirate King by finding the fabled ‘One Piece’ of the executed

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Season 2) N

Coming to Netflix: TBA

Cyberpunk Edgerunners was a great hit not only for Netflix but also for the Cyberpunk Game, helping to revitalise the game, which had a poor start at launch, but has since become one of the best video games of its generation. It’s unclear whether the second season will continue the story of Edgerunners or introduce a brand new cast of colourful characters.

Let’s hope the second season won’t traumatize fans as much as the first!

The Summer Hikaru Died (Season 2) N

Coming to Netflix: TBA

After a fantastic first season, it took barely a day before CygamesPictures announced production for the second season of The Summer Hikaru Died. We’re not sure when the second season will land on Netflix, but we are hopeful for a 2026 release.

Two best friends living in a rural Japanese village: Yoshiki and Hikaru. Growing up together, they were inseparable… until the day Hikaru came back from the mountains, and was no longer himself. “Something” has taken over Hikaru’s body, memories, feelings… and everything they know begins to unravel.

Dan Da Dan (Season 3)

Coming to Netflix: Possible Late 2026

Dan Dan has been one of the most popular anime titles on Netflix over the past year, having been watched by millions worldwide. Science Saru has done an incredible job with the anime so far, and fans can look forward to the adaptation of the Space Globalists Arc

The series is centered on two high school students, Momo and Okarun. Momo, who believes in ghosts, and Okarun, who believes in aliens, each deny the existence of the other, that is, until one fateful night on a dare, when Okarun has a run-in with a malicious spirit and Momo with over-inquisitive aliens, the pair find themselves stepping into the world of the paranormal and supernatural.

Sakamoto Days (Season 2) N

Coming to Netflix: TBA

Sakamoto Days has yet to be renewed for a second season, but we expect to hear of a renewal sooner rather than later! The series, much like Dan Da Dan, has been an extremely popular addition to the Netflix library, and continues Netflix’s effort to bring more weekly anime content to the streaming service.
