Spark GHC and J ROC Development have announced a joint venture to develop a dual-branded hotel at SouthPark Mall in Strongsville, Ohio.

Spark GHC and J ROC Development have entered into a joint venture to construct a dual-branded select-service hotel on the SouthPark Mall property in Strongsville, Ohio. The project, referred to as Project Mustang, is part of the mall’s master plan to repurpose underutilized space.

The development will be situated on land already zoned for hospitality use. The two companies have signed a purchase and sales agreement to move forward with the project. The hotel is designed to cater to both corporate and leisure guests, benefiting from its proximity to retail, dining, and entertainment venues. The location is also strategic for visitors attending local sporting events and conducting business in the area’s industrial corridors.

The announcement aligns with Strongsville’s ongoing efforts to reimagine key sites, such as SouthPark Mall, to better serve community needs. The hotel is expected to fill a gap in the local market for short-term stay options. The project is part of a broader regional development strategy, which includes anticipated major projects, such as a new Cleveland Browns stadium.

Further details about the hotel brand and project timeline are expected to be released in the coming months.
