Dusit International plans to open a new 250-key hotel in Chengdu, China, through a hotel management agreement with Dongfang Nongbo (Chengdu) Commercial Operation Management Company Limited.
Dusit International, a Thai hotel and property development company, is expanding its presence in China by signing a hotel management agreement to operate Dusit Hotel AG Park in Chengdu. Represented in China by Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts, the company’s new property is set to open on 1 June 2025.
The Dusit Hotel AG Park, Chengdu, will be situated within the Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park, approximately 30 minutes by car from both Chengdu city centre and Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. The location is also 20 minutes from Xinjin high-speed rail station, connecting key cities across Sichuan Province.
Encompassing approximately 2.7 square kilometres, Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park is dedicated to high-tech agriculture, sustainable farming, and cultural tourism. The park integrates agricultural exhibitions, farming culture, scientific research, technology development, and leisure tourism into one experience.
The new hotel will offer guests a range of private villas or guest rooms set around beautifully maintained gardens. To enhance the guest experience, the resort will feature several facilities, including an all-day dining restaurant with a farm-to-table focus, a specialty restaurant, and a Chinese restaurant with eight private dining rooms. Additional amenities include a lobby lounge, an indoor swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, a dedicated kids’ club, mahjong rooms, and a pillarless multi-functional conference hall with three versatile meeting rooms.
The resort will also provide immersive experiences that connect guests with Chengdu’s cultural heritage. These include curated dining experiences reflecting Chengdu’s status as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, visits to the world-renowned Sichuan Opera, and the opportunity to see giant pandas at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
With this new addition, Dusit International’s portfolio expands to nearly 300 properties operating under eight brands across 18 countries. In China specifically, the company currently operates seven hotels and has more than 20 properties in the pipeline.
