New Indian Movies & Series on Netflix: April 2025

It’s been a quiet month on the licensed side of new Indian titles on Netflix but booming on the new Originals front. The Baahubali franchise returned to Netflix with a new Spanish dub for the first film. Plus, Netflix premiered two major Original movies — the Tamil sports drama Test and the Hindi action flick Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins. Here are all of the Indian movies and series added to Netflix in April 2025.

New Indian Movies on Netflix: April 2025

Ranveer vs. Wild with Bear Grylls (2022) N

Ranveer vs. Wild with Bear Grylls was released as an interactive special back in 2022. It was pulled earlier this year and re-edited as a movie, without any interactive features (as were several other formerly interactive titles). The trailer below is for the original version, but you can still enjoy watching actor Ranveer Singh roughing it with a little help from the famous survivalist.

Baahubali: The Beginning (2015)

Before there was RRR, there was Baahubali. The first part of director S.S. Rajamouli’s fantasy epic sees Prabhas playing a young man raised without knowing that he was heir to a prosperous kingdom. He climbs a massive waterfall and finds a civilization in turmoil, with questions about the fate of his father: a beloved prince known as Baahubali (“The One with Strong Arms”). Baahubali: The Beginning is available on Netflix in four dubbed languages, each of which has its own separate catalogue entry. We recommend watching it in either Hindi or Malayalam, as those are the only two options for watching Baahubali: The Conclusion.

If you’re a fan of fantasy epics like the Lord of the Rings, give the Baahubali movies a shot. Hindi- and Malayalam-dubbed versions of Baahubali: The Conclusion each have their own separate catalogue entries.

A cricket player nearing the end of his professional career reconnects with a former friend who’s struggling to have a baby with her husband, a frustrated inventor hiding a secret from his wife. Their personal difficulties collide during a major international cricket tournament, with potentially catastrophic consequences for everyone involved. The cast of this rare Tamil-language Netflix Original film is top tier, but the story might have better suited a series. Chhaava (2025)

Vicky Kaushal plays Maratha king Sambhaji Maharaj in this gory retelling of his clash with Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 17th Century India. Though Chhaava has been criticized for historical inaccuracies, it was a massive box office success, landing it among the Top 15 highest-grossing Indian films of all time globally. Presented in its original Hindi, a Telugu-dubbed version is available in Chhaava‘s audio menu.

Priyadarshi Pulikonda plays a rookie lawyer who stumbles upon the case of a working class teenager falsely accused of rape by his girlfriend’s wealthy family. Netflix hopes to spawn a new franchise with Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins. Saif Ali Khan (Sacred Games) plays Rehan Roy, a master thief forced to steal a diamond for a notorious gangster. In order to save his family and the gangster’s beautiful wife, Rehan must stay one step ahead of his adversary — and the cops who’ve followed him from Budapest to Mumbai. This is a fun romp, and Jaideep Ahlawat (Jaane Jaan) is a scary and stylish villain. New Indian Series on Netflix: April 2025

Crime Patrol: 26 Jurm, 26 Cases (2025)

After adding the limited series Crime Patrol: City Crime in March, Netflix adds more Crime Patrol this month with the limited series 26 Jurm, 26 Cases (“26 Crimes, 26 Cases“). Host Anup Soni details a different case in each episode, with new episodes premiering on Saturdays.
