Marriott Hotels has announced the opening of the Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa, marking its first venture in Khao Lak, a popular beachfront destination in Thailand. The resort is conveniently situated on the southwest coast of Thailand, a few steps from the pristine Bang-Lut Beach and the turquoise Andaman Sea.
Brad Edman, Market Vice President—Thailand, Cambodia & Myanmar, Marriott International, expressed his delight in introducing the Marriott Hotels brand to Khao Lak, the third Marriott Hotels location in southern Thailand.
The Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa was designed by P49 Design, a renowned architecture studio. The resort’s design is inspired by the region’s local coastal heritage and sea-faring trade, which has significantly influenced it. The resort offers 283 rooms, suites, and villas with private balconies, naturally lit interiors, and premium amenities. Some ground-floor rooms and suites offer direct access to the resort’s lagoon pools.
The resort features seven dining venues: Goji Kitchen + Bar, Thai Curry Sala, Lido Beach Restaurant & Lounge, and Panasia Grill. Guests can engage in various activities such as yoga, and children can enjoy the water playground and kid’s club. For relaxation, the resort offers Quan Spa with six serene treatment rooms.
The resort also caters to business travelers with its Andaman Grand Ballroom and five Similan Rooms, which are suitable for hosting major events and meetings. The beach and lawn can serve as venues for outdoor celebrations.
Debdyuti (Dev) Dasgupta, the resort’s General Manager, welcomed guests and emphasized its prime beachfront location, breathtaking vistas, and top-tier facilities. The resort is part of Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s travel program that allows members to earn points for their stays.
