New Nintendo Direct coming July 31 — here’s when and how to watch

30 July 20251 Min Read

Nintendo will broadcast a new Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday, July 31, the company has confirmed. July’s Nintendo Direct showcase will focus not on games published by Nintendo itself, but on third-party partners.

Thursday’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase will run for roughly 25 minutes and will start at 9 a.m. EDT/6 a.m. PDT. The showcase will stream on Nintendo’s YouTube and Twitch channels.

Nintendo says that the next Direct will highlight upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games from its publishing partners. That could mean appearances from games like Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for Switch 2, Star Wars Outlaws for Switch 2, Hades 2, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, and — dare I say it — Hollow Knight: Silksong.

It seems we’ll have to wait a little longer for updates on Nintendo’s first-party offerings still to come in 2025, which include Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Kirby Air Riders for Switch 2.
