NH Collection has opened a new hotel, NH Collection Palermo Palazzo Sitano, in Palermo, Italy, marking its second hotel in Sicily.

NH Collection has launched its latest hotel, NH Collection Palermo Palazzo Sitano, situated on Via Vittorio Emanuele in Palermo, Italy. This opening represents the brand’s second establishment in Sicily and follows the recent inauguration of NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso in the Pennine Alps, set for 2025.

The NH Collection Palermo Palazzo Sitano is located in a historic area of Palermo, known for its blend of Arab, Norman, and Baroque influences. The hotel is housed in an aristocratic building originally constructed between 1712 and 1860. It retains many original features, including Baroque decorations, painted ceilings, and cast-iron balconies.

The hotel offers 86 rooms in various categories, including Superior, Premium, Premium XL, Junior Suite, and Suite. Many rooms feature original balconies with views of the old town, and some Junior Suites have restored frescoed ceilings.

Dining options at the hotel include a restaurant located within a modern glass structure, inspired by the nearby San Francesco Convent. The restaurant serves dishes that highlight Sicilian flavors using local ingredients. The bar area is accessible from the lobby and opens onto Via Bottai, catering to both hotel guests and local residents.

The hotel also provides facilities for business and private events, with a modern event room accommodating up to 56 people, an interior patio, and a private area for networking and meetings. Additional amenities include a ground-floor sauna and steam bath, as well as a fitness club equipped with treadmills and stationary bikes.

NH Collection Palermo Palazzo Sitano’s location offers proximity to several of Palermo’s cultural and historical sites. It is near Piazza Marina, Porto della Cala, Castello a Mare, and the Vucciria market. The hotel is also close to the central train station and several theaters, including the Massimo, Politeama, and Biondo.

The opening of NH Collection Palermo Palazzo Sitano adds to NH Collection’s presence in Italy, bringing the total number of Minor Hotels’ properties on the island to six.
