Nintendo has announced that its Indie World showcase will take place on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 6 a.m. PDT / 9 a.m. EDT. According to the gaming company, the broadcast will feature “roughly 15 minutes of new announcements and updates on indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.” The showcase will stream on Nintendo’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
While no games have been officially confirmed for the Indie World showcase, there is potential for titles like Hades 2 and the forthcoming Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Nintendo’s Indie World showcase follows the company’s recent Partner Showcase, which took place on Thursday, July 31. The showcase featured looks at Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Once Upon a Katamari, Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, and more.
Fans waiting for Nintendo’s first-party showcase are going to have to wait a little longer, as it appears that the company is focused on third-party offerings right now.
