Nintendo deals on Super Mario games are here for Mario Day 2026

Nintendo is celebrating “Mario Day” — otherwise known as March 10 — with more than just new Virtual Boy games for Nintendo Switch Online. Select Mario games for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 will be discounted at the Nintendo eShop and at select retailers as part of Mario Day festivities.

The list includes Nintendo Switch games Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury and Super Mario Odyssey, two games that are highly influential on Illumination’s upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Nintendo’s Mario Day sales also include the first Switch 2 game from Nintendo to go on sale: Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV.

Physical versions of those games and more will be on sale from March 8-14 at select retailers, including Nintendo’s U.S. stores and the My Nintendo Store. Deals on Mario games are already live at the My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop, if you’re looking for digital games. (Savings on digital games come to an end on March 15 at 11:59 p.m. PST.)

• Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – $29.99 (normally $59.99)
• Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope – $5.99 (normally $59.99)
• Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV – $61.98 (normally $79.99)

While the Super Mario games on offer may not be the latest — Donkey Kong Bananza and Super Mario Bros. Wonder aren’t included as part of the sales — the titles included are some of the greatest. The spectacular Super Mario Odyssey, for example, landed at No. 3 on Polygon’s Games of the Year in 2017. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is a polished version of a Wii U co-op platformer with a brilliant open-world take on 3D Mario action. Super Mario RPG and Mario vs. Donkey Kong are great opportunities to play classic games, one from the Super NES era, one from the Game Boy Advance era, on modern platforms.
