It took just a couple of weeks for Nobody Wants This to be renewed for a third season. Months later, and filming is now scheduled to get underway in March, and will be released sometime in late 2026. Here’s everything we know about Nobody Wants This season 3 on Netflix.
Nobody Wants This is a Netflix Original romantic-comedy series created by Erin Foster and produced by 3 Arts Entertainment. The ten-episode series stars Kristen Bell (The Good Place) as Joanne, an agnostic sex podcaster who unexpectedly falls for Noah, a charming and devout rabbi played by Adam Brody (Shazam).

Official Renewal Status: Renewed (Last Updated: 11/04/2025)

Two weeks after its release, Nobody Wants This has officially been renewed for a third season. Much like the first season, we fully expected a strong performance from the second season, and predicted a quick renewal and it came on November 4th.
The renewal came with a video featuring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody discussing it. The series will continue filming in Los Angeles, with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan continuing as co-showrunners.
In a statement upon the renewal, creator Erin Foster said, “I couldn’t be more excited to head into a third season of this show,” adding, “It is a privilege to be able to write about my favorite couple on a scale like this. As long as it doesn’t take too much time away from me watching reality TV at night, I’ll do it for as long as they want me to!”
It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, given that we got some early hints that the show’s future was in hand. On the Netflix UI for two Netflix UK subscribers, “Another season is coming” was listed for Nobody Wants This.

Further evidence to suggest that Nobody Wants This will be renewed is that, according to the WGA directory, the writer’s room is officially open for the third season of Nobody Wants This. It’s important to note that just because the writer’s room is now open doesn’t mean the series has been officially renewed; rather, work is already underway on a potential third season.
That’s backed up by an interview with Parade, where lead actress and executive producer Kristen Bell revealed the key behind-the-scenes effort: “The writer’s room is working right now.” She added, while clarifying the official decision rests with Netflix, “You never know if you’re gonna be able to shoot because that’s way above our pay grade… But the writer’s room is writing it right now. That we know”.
Season 2, much like the first, is already picking up a slew of positive reviews across the board and is rated 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.
How well did Nobody Wants This perform?
Nobody Wants This continues to drive strong viewership on Netflix, though it is ever so slightly down from season 1 with 18 million views in its first two weeks:
| Week in Top 10 | Week Period | Hours Viewed | Views / CVE | Weekly Rank |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Oct 19 to Oct 26, 2025 | 38,100,000 (New) | 8,600,000 | 1 |
| 2 | Oct 27 to Nov 2, 2025 | 41,670,000 | 9,400,000 | 1 |
What to expect from Nobody Wants This season 3?
There are plenty of questions that will need answering in the third season of Nobody Wants This.
Is Joanne going to convert?
It’s looking increasingly likely.
After breaking up during Morgan and Dr. Andy’s not-so-engagement party, the pair were left heartbroken. However, a brief heart-to-heart with Esther helped Joanne understand her feelings about converting to Judaism, and ultimately it comes down to a feeling —not a grand religious experience or epiphany, but the love of the little things. As Esther rightfully stated, using cute examples to go with it, that with or without Noah, Joanne is Jewish.
Finally understanding her feelings about conversion, it looks like Joanne will be on the path to becoming Jewish after all.

What does this mean for Noah and Joanne’s relationship?
While it looked increasingly likely that the second season was about to end in heartbreak, Noah and Joanne reconciled with a romantic kiss after all.
Noah, coming to terms with and accepting that his love for Joanne exceeds his feelings about his religion, officially declares he wants nothing but to be with her. As for Joanne, her acceptance that she is assimilating into Jewish culture means we may get a happy ending for the pair after all.
First of all, the couple will be back together just as quickly as they broke up. Second, Noah is likely to be delighted to hear of Joanne’s change of heart about converting. Third, we’ll see the pair move in together.

Will we see Noah and Joanne engaged by the end of Season 3?
While the pair have been inseparable since the start of their relationship, moving in together is a huge step forward. We’d expect the third season to explore that aspect of the relationship, while we may also see Joanne begin studying to convert to Judaism.
There’s also the question of Noah’s mother, Bina, whom Joanne has yet to win over. Perhaps Joanne gaining a deeper understanding of Judaism and spending more time with Bina will be the way to win over the Roklov matriarch.
Ultimately, by the end of the third season, we would expect to see Noah and Joanne engaged. Leading man Adam Brody has also voiced his hopes for the next phase of Noah and Joanne’s life, echoing the natural progression of their relationship. Discussing the future of the couple after their reconciliation, Brody mentioned the obvious next steps in an interview with USA Today, stating, “There’s marriage, if they should want that… There’s children, if they should want that…”

What about Sasha and Esther?
It was almost a trio of breakups in the second-season finale, but arguably the one that had been cooking all season was the married couple, Sasha and Esther.
Even after years of marriage, the pair are in very different places in their relationship. Newly single, perhaps we’ll see Esther go on some dates with potential matches. Whether she will remain separated or pursue a divorce from Sasha remains to be seen.
If Morgan and Sasha grow closer in season 3, as we predict, it’s very much in Esther’s character to get the completely wrong idea, which could lead to jealousy getting the best of her and prompting rash, hasty decisions.
After going out on dates and watching Sasha grow closer to another woman, Esther may realise how much she cares about her husband, so ultimately by the end of season 3, we’d expect the pair to reconcile.
Morgan x Sasha?
Morgan and Sasha’s friendship has been one of the best dynamics in the series and has often been one of the most wholesome.
It’s possible that an angle in the third season shows Morgan falling in love with Sasha, but the elder Roklov sibling refutes her as he is still in love with his wife.
It’s important for the story to maintain a platonic relationship, and the friendship between Morgan and Sasha feels more like a sibling bond than a genuine romantic interest.
What is the production status of Nobody Wants This season 3?

Post-Production
It has been reported in issue 1487 of Production Weekly that filming for Nobody Wants This season 3 will begin in March 2026, and shoot for a few months before ending sometime by May 2026.
We haven’t had official confirmation from Netflix that production will get underway in March. However, if the series is to be released later this year, the reported filming dates make sense.
When will season 3 of Nobody Wants This be released on Netflix?
The first two seasons were released on the following dates:
- Season 1 – September 26, 2024
- Season 2 – October 23, 2025
If we assume the third season will follow a similar release schedule to seasons one and two, we could see it on Netflix as early as late November 2026.
However, this is based on the presumption that there will be no delay in production and that the series will be renewed just as swiftly as it was for season 2. For now, we await further updates from Netflix.
