North America’s largest Polish cultural festival is returning to Toronto next month

14 August 20252 Mins Read

Things are about to get a whole lot more Polish in Toronto! The famed Roncesvalles Polish Festival, the largest celebration of Polish culture, is returning to the west end.

Shutting down a major portion of Roncesvalles Avenue, the Polish fest will be celebrated over two days — Sept. 13 and 14 — and features some good old community fun.

From traditional folk dancing to delicious, pillowy soft pierogi, embrace the best of Polish-Canadian culture with 40 restaurants, bakeries, bistros and bars, 150 local merchants, 90+ vendors and exhibitors, four stages, and six beer gardens and patios!

Get ready to boogie down to some Polka music, watch live performers and buskers, and shop at some beloved Roncy businesses. But it’s not just about Polish things; the festival has recently taken a greater approach to uplift and celebrate the entire Roncesvalles community, which includes many different cultures, languages, and people.

That’s why you’ll see non-polish programming like the SuperDogs show from Sidorova Inwood Realty, carnival midway games, local artisans, bands from Elvis tributes to disco ensembles, and a special LEGO zone from Canadian Tire.

For the last 17 years, the Roncesvalles Polish Fest has been honouring and celebrating the vibrant Polish culture in the Roncy neighbourhood (a historical Polish community) and the other cultures, businesses, and friends in the area. It’s a wonderful blend of old-world culture and the vibrant community!

Marked as the largest festival of Polish culture outside of Poland, the Roncy Polish Fest has a long tradition of free, family fun, and it’s always a good time! Be sure to plan out your trip in advance, as the 2025 festival is expected to see some 600,000 attendees!

Does it get any better than cabbage rolls and Polish beer? The answer is no! Visit the Roncesvalles Polish Festival this September and miłej zabawy (“have fun” in Polish)!

When: Saturday, Sept. 13 to Sunday, Sept. 14
Time:
Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Roncesvalles Avenue (between Grafton Avenue and Dundas Street West)
