‘Obsession’ Star Inde Navarrette Confirms She’s Bisexual

Whether you’ve seen the movie Obsession already or are deep into the horror film space, you’ve probably heard of Inde Navarrette. The scream queen and Obsession star has been seen everywhere since the film’s success, with fans making edits of her and fancasting her in new roles. Since the film’s release, the actress has also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and interviewed with Vanity Fair, Entertainment Tonight and Complex, where she’s talked about being a girl gamer, life before Obsession‘s release, getting her nipples pierced and more. 

Aside from her basically being the coolest girl ever, fans have recently learned new information about Navarrette. The Obsession star is bisexual!  Although it was revealed in a 2020 interview with Seventeen, fans are just now finding out, as the interview has resurfaced and gone viral. And it has the girlies excited. “As a bisexual, I understand how easy it is to keep that to yourself, because it’s a very delicate subject,” Navarrette said in the interview. The star, who also appeared in 13 Reasons Why, chatted with Seventeen about Monty’s sexuality in the show. “With my family being exposed to it [her sexuality] earlier on with my cousin coming out, it wasn’t that big of a deal. But I know for a fact that I have friends who are queer or lesbian or trans that are in ethnic communities where it’s a lot harder.”

Fans have been reacting on platforms such as Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). One fan on Instagram said, “It’s a good day for women,” while another calls Navarrette a “BI ICON.” Another fan took to X to post an edit of the Obsession star, with the caption, “I found out that Inde Navarrette is bisexual, I’m cured.”

Others are reacting to this viral post from X user @Lesbocine, which features a photo of Navarrette and the bisexual flag. “Get her in a film kissing Sophie Nelisse,” tweeted X user @sackieshipman. So, what does this mean for the future of Navarrette’s career? We certainly hope to see her in upcoming LGBTQ+ films and projects. Nylon Magazine and Culture Crave revealed that the actress recently met with Jake Schreier and is open to starring in a Marvel film.
