Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Dec. 13 to gush over Kate’s upcoming new movie, Song Sung Blue, Oliver couldn’t help but add a little humor to the otherwise heartfelt post.
After declaring the “pride” he has for his sister and her work in the new film, Oliver, 49, made a playful jab at the Running Point actress over the plunging dress she wore to the New York premiere of Song Sung Blue earlier in the week.
He uploaded a photo of Kate, 46, wearing the sultry chiffon dress, which featured a dramatically cut neckline that reached all the way down to the top of her stomach.

“It’s not fair to me as her older brother to have to see this kind of inappropriate nipple exposer of a dress,” he quipped in his Instagram post, which included a red circle drawn around one side of Kate’s chest.
“I would never show my body in a post out of respect for America and parts of Iceland,” Oliver further joked in his caption, while adding the hashtag, “#shacklethenipple.”
Fans on Instagram were far from surprised to see the cheeky post from Oliver, who is known to have a fun and playful repartee with his sister—and one commenter said they were already anticipating Kate to have an equally witty response.
“Awaiting rebuttal from @katehudson it’s going to be good,” one user wrote on Instagram, while tons of other fans were highly amused by Oliver’s humor.
“Dead. Im extra dead. Dead times dead,” someone reacted to the post, while a couple other commenters said they were “screaming” and “howling” over Oliver’s latest antics.
“The content we are here for Oliver 🙌😂” one person wrote in the comments, while another called his post “peak sibling behavior.”
“Pobably the weirdest brother post ever 😂” another fan playfully added.
But Oliver’s post also included a sweet message to his sister, as he began the caption, “I’ll start by saying that I cry everyday with pride for my sis after seeing her performance in Song Sung Blue.”
“It moved me beyond expectation,” he said, adding, “(Tearing up as I write this).”
Song Sung Blue, which also stars Hugh Jackman, releases in theaters on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
