Ontario companies shine bright in new ranking of Canada’s best workplace cultures

17 July 20252 Mins Read

Ontario companies are leading the way in terms of workplace culture. Forbes just released its first-ever list of Canada’s best employers for company culture, and several Ontario-based companies made the top 10.

Culture and community aren’t just buzzwords; they’re fundamental to a healthy workplace. In fact, many employers now view strong company culture as a key driver of success, according to Forbes in its latest report. That’s why Forbes decided to create a new ranking to recognize Canadian organizations that excel in company culture.

In a partnership with market research firm Statista, Forbes surveyed over 40,000 Canadian-based workers employed at companies with at least 500 people in the country.

Maintaining anonymity, employees were asked if they would recommend their employer to others. They were then asked to rate it based on a range of company culture-related topics, including fairness, inclusivity, and opportunity.

They were also asked if they would recommend their previous employers, as well as those they knew through industry experience or through friends or family who worked there.

After compiling the data of the best employers, each company received a score, and the 200 organizations with the highest scores made the new ranking.

Now, here are their findings.

10 best employers on the list

Five companies in the province made it into the top 10. These include:

  • The Hershey Company – Mississauga, Ont.
  • Oak Valley Health – Markham, Ont.
  • Humber College – Toronto, Ont.
  • CAMH – Toronto, Ont.
  • Brock University – St. Catharines, Ont.

In total, 75 companies in Ontario made the list. For the full report, you can read more online.

If culture and community are non-negotiables for you, why not explore the companies above that actually live those values? Your next move could be more meaningful than you think.
