Origin’s Closed Beta Test Following Gamescom ONL Trailer Reveal

21 August 20253 Mins Read

This content was produced in collaboration with Valnet Inc. and the sponsor, Netmarble.

Netmarble just followed up on The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin’s blockbuster trailer at Summer Game Fest by showcasing even more of what we can expect from the anime spinoff game in a brand new trailer during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Not only that, but those eager to experience the next game in The Seven Deadly Sins series can pre-register and sign up for its closed beta right now.

A new trailer for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin debuted during Gamescom ONL, which you can check out below if you weren’t watching live. The trailer provided us our best look yet at the upcoming game, showing off more of how fans of The Seven Deadly Sins manga, anime, and prior games in the series will be able to experience its open world.

The story follows Tristan, who explores The Seven Deadly Sins’ fictional world of Britannia unlike players ever have done before. Even though fans of the series will recognize Origin’s world and characters, the new game tells a brand new story rooted in a multiverse, providing an experience that will feel both familiar and brand new to The Seven Deadly Sins fans.

Characters such as Meliodas (whose Japanese actor’s narration we heard for the first time in the new trailer), Elizabeth, and Ban will return as you traverse Britannia, accruing a team of heroes in your quest to save the land they call home. While the threat remains the same regardless of how you choose to play, the open world, and your freedom to explore it, will allow you to shape your own The Seven Deadly Sins adventure.

Pre-Register Now And Sign Up For The Closed Beta Test

Now that you’ve seen The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin’s Gamescom trailer, you can pre-register for the game and even ensure you’re among the first to play it by signing up for its closed beta test. The test will provide a preview of the game’s mechanics, part of its expansive open world, and even include some of the finished product’s many character interactions.

Fans eagerly awaiting The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin’s full release can now pre-register for the game via its official website. Pre-registration on mobile through the App Store and via Google Play will be available soon.

You can also wishlist The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin on the PlayStation Store and Steam. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will launch globally as a console exclusive on PS5, and on PC and mobile simultaneously.

Following trailers at Summer Game Fest and Gamescom ONL, anticipation for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin continues to build. Not only because you can now pre-register for the game and sign up to be a part of its closed beta test, but also because a brand new trailer for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins will be shown at Tokyo Games Show 2025 this September.
