Peregrine Hospitality will open Pacific Point Resort in Pismo Beach this July. The 170-room and suite property spans 12 acres and is situated 90 feet above the Pacific Ocean, adjacent to the Pismo Preserve in San Luis Obispo County.

Pacific Point Resort is a redevelopment of the Pismo Lighthouse Suites and Shore Cliff Hotel. The property will feature two pools, including what is described as the largest in Pismo Beach, an expansive sun deck, and the Pacific Market, which will offer café-style provisions for outdoor dining throughout the grounds. Most rooms and suites will have ocean views, and amenities will include in-room binoculars and a ‘Whale Watch Dispatch’ service that provides real-time text alerts for whale and dolphin sightings.

Located near Highway 1 and along the Pismo Coastal Access Trail, the resort provides access to hiking and biking trails in the nearby Pismo Preserve. The opening is part of Peregrine Hospitality’s $50 million investment in the region.

The resort will have two wings: Shore Cliff guestrooms and suites with land-inspired design elements, and Lighthouse and Ocean House suites with coastal themes. The lobby will feature a glass-wrapped atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows, a wine wall offering eight local vintages, and a rotating selection of local art for purchase.

The property will include 100 Shore Cliff guestrooms and suites, 40 Lighthouse suites, and 30 Ocean House suites. Room features will reference local heritage, vintage photography, and custom mural wallcoverings. The Lighthouse and Ocean House suites will include work by local artists and organic design features.

Additional amenities will include a sun deck with fire pits and games, and the Pacific Market will serve pastries, quiches, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, snacks, espresso, wine, and beer. Watercolor paint kits will be available for purchase.

Peregrine Hospitality also plans to open Avila Beach House in July 2026. The 54-suite property will be located in Avila Beach and will feature cottage-style accommodations, beach access, nature trails, and coastal excursions.
