Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG), the hospitality arm of Singapore-based UOL Group Limited, has announced a major transformation of Pan Pacific Perth. The renovation is a part of the group’s ongoing global asset enhancement initiative, geared towards positioning their properties as leaders in the luxury sector.
Pan Pacific Perth has 488 guest rooms and suites and is the largest of PPHG’s six properties in Australia. The redesign, executed by renowned FDAT Architects, includes refreshed interiors, a redesigned lobby, and an improved Pacific Club Lounge. The revamped design draws inspiration from Western Australia’s natural landscapes, showcasing the brand’s commitment to adapt thoughtfully to local contexts.
In line with its commitment to sustainable tourism, PPHG has incorporated environmentally friendly features into the renovation. The sustainable design elements include decorative panels from repurposed denim, hand-pressed natural herbs, and 100% recycled plastics. These features are designed to reduce waste and celebrate natural materials through multi-sensorial experiences, aligning with the group’s sustainability goals.
The hotel’s extensive 2,500 sqm convention floor, the largest in Perth, has been upgraded with advanced LED screens and cutting-edge audiovisual technology. The space is designed to accommodate various business events, conferences, and social occasions.
PPHG is also investing heavily in asset enhancement initiatives across its Australian portfolio. For instance, PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport recently completed a comprehensive enhancement of its guest rooms, conference facilities, and public areas. Similarly, PARKROYAL Parramatta, Sydney, has undergone significant upgrades, including revitalizing its guest rooms and event spaces.
These upgrades come when Australia’s tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors are experiencing renewed momentum. According to the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, international tourist arrivals are expected to increase significantly over the next few years. Furthermore, Australia’s MICE industry is projected to grow robustly, reaching USD 42.8 billion by 2032.
