In a statement shared with Parade, Panda Express revealed that the new Firecracker Steak and Shrimp menu item “features tender sirloin steak bites and succulent shrimp, wok-tossed with vibrant red and yellow bell peppers, onions, string beans and whole dry chili peppers.”

Food blogger Markie_devo shared the news on Instagram on March 7, prompting fans to jump into the comments to express their excitement. “This sounds good,” wrote one fan, while another agreed, commenting, “This good.”
Some fans seemed hesitant to try the new menu item because of its spice level, writing, “I’d so get this but the spice level is telling me not to 🤣😮💨,” though others were willing to power through, commenting, “I would totally try this!!!!!”
Some fans already tried the dish and gave a review in the comments. “It was pretty darn good 👍 careful with the chilis,” warned one fan, and another was on the same page, writing, “I just tried this the other night and 🔥🔥🔥 so good but so spicy.”
This isn’t the first time that Panda Express has turned up the heat—in September the chain brought back the Blazing Bourbon Chicken, a spicy collaboration with Hot Ones that used hot sauce from the popular TV show to give a fiery twist to the classic chicken dish.
