Penn Entertainment has opened a second hotel tower at M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas, nearly doubling its capacity.
Penn Entertainment has officially opened a second hotel tower at M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas. This development increases the total number of rooms and suites at the property to 765. The project was completed on budget and ahead of schedule.
The expansion includes the addition of the Montese Ballroom, a 15,000-square-foot facility that opened in October 2025. This addition brings the total indoor and outdoor conference and event space at the M Resort to over 100,000 square feet. The expansion is expected to create approximately 120 new jobs at the resort.
A grand opening ceremony for the new hotel tower is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, at 6:00 PM PST. The event will feature special guests, a drone show, and a musical performance and is open to the public.
On November 3, 2025, Penn Entertainment secured $150 million in funding from Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc., at a 7.79% capitalization rate to support this project.
The M Resort expansion is part of Penn Entertainment’s broader growth strategy. The company recently completed another project, the Hollywood Casino Joliet, in August 2025. Upcoming developments include the new Hollywood Casino Aurora in Illinois and a hotel tower at Hollywood Casino Columbus, both expected to open in the second quarter of 2026. Additionally, the relocation of Hollywood Casino Council Bluffs is planned for late 2027 or early 2028.
